... and how?
To master the complexity of cultures at the national, organisational and professional level, we apply our culture model. The Model of Freedom simplifies, but only to give way to the full richness of cultures.
Our model is based on research of Geert Hofstede and Fons Trompenaars and is a reconciliation of their work, from which I lifted the academic cover to show its real-life applications.
I was inspired by many a cultural expert, but it was the observations of Timothy Leary that gave the model a truly behavioural twist: it categorises behaviours and shows how behaviours influence each other.
I called it the Model of Freedom, because we feel free when our cultural identity can be expressed and is appreciated, or at least not punished. Our model is about removing obstacles and finding ways to extend our freedom across cultural borders.
Customers describe the model as a highly pragmatic and effective approach to incorporate cultural advantages in organisations.
