Model of Freedom

CMC has developed a tool to leverage cultural diversity. This highly pragmatic tool, the Model of Freedom, delivers valuable insights in the culturally preferred ways of people working in global teams, and indicates how to reconcile differing perceptions in order to enhance team performance.

The Model of Freedom

The Model of Freedom (MoF) is at the core of our services. The model enables us to draw profiles of vocational, organizational or national cultures. These profiles visualize why people act, perceive and interpret as they do. By comparing different profiles we learn about similarities and differences in preferred management and working styles. Thus, the Model leverages cultural advantage, analyzing past experiences, clarifying the present and predicting future behaviors of global team members and managers.

The Model of Freedom, developed by Mijnd Huijser, is rooted in real-world experiences of professionals working in international companies. Being tested with about 5,000 managers over a period of ten years, it has grown into a solid tool.Besides its value for vocational and organizational cultures, the MoF enables us to categorize the preferred management styles in 52 countries.
